Inherited textile works and clothes, unstitched parts, badly bought fabric by the metre and remnants seem to fly over to me. They want to be transformed and lead an existence of non-purpose. For this I explore all textile materials, sewing accessories as well as wire and grid, having similar qualities like thread and fabric. I feel the surface and structure, play with it, experiment on and with it and take risks! I never rush, but plan, measure and fiddle about, consider every cut twice. I control myself permanently, hardly leave anything by chance, I work carefully – calculating, meticulously and with unknown endurance. That’s why textile is my language. It doesn’t demand quick solutions and leaves me enough time to think about it.
